Service and rewards

Rate setting policy

The cost of running your repair shop, your profit mark-up and the competition in your area would greatly influence the rate you charge on maintenance and repairs. saying this it is clear to understand that each shop would have a different rate to the other. However, we could also agree that all repair shops has the same three common needs:

  • It needs customers that needs its service

  • It needs trained mechanics to provide the service

  • It needs an equipped place

We could also agree that there is a tipping point where a repair shop starts making a profit verses being a cost center to the dealership.

On an annual basis the members of the OPPASA collaborate and agree to a proposed fair hourly rate for technical services. Members of the OPPASA may collaborate and find the latest rates here.
